How to choose the right glasses?

When deciding on the choice of sunglasses, it is important to consider the conditions in which we will use the glasses. In different conditions, we can encounter different  intensities of solar radiation. Therefore, there are different types of lenses with a certain light transmission. This light transmission is stated as the amount of light expressed in percentages that is able to penetrate the pupil. The higher the percentage, the more light the lens lets through. A visor with transmittance above 90% is therefore suitable for worse lighting conditions, e.g. cloudy, overcast or snowy. Conversely, lenses with a lower percentage of transmittance are suitable for situations where it is necessary to better protect the eyes from strong sunlight.
